Canopeo and GreenSeeker applications as tools to support tropical pasture management

ABSTRACT: This study determined whether Canopeo and GreenSeeker measurements in Megathyrsus maximus can estimate plant height, dry matter mass, morphological components, content of crude protein neutral detergent fiber at different days growth. Five plots 5 × 25m M. grass were defined: subplots 1×1m evaluated every three days, which the pasture shows 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30 regrowth. The subplot was for canopy height mass accumulation. canopeo index (CI) obtained a higher lower than those smaller height. Higher measurement increased normalized difference vegetation (NDVI) relative to 0.10 m. highest indexes observed since 18 d Except CI m not correlated chemical composition forage.
